Resonance. Interventions in the Collection

For the 200th anniversary of the Kunstverein, the Kunsthalle has invited the BBK Bremen (Berufsverband Bildender Künstler*innen Bremen) to present its annual show at the museum. A collaborative effort, the exhibition displays a selection of contemporary Bremen positions in the galleries that house the Remix show. The 16 selected artists will enter into a close artistic discourse with the collection, the history of the Kunstverein, and the architecture of the building.

The show brings together works of selected artists with those of the institution in an area of contrasting contexts that promotes tension between encountering, seeing and provocation. It will generate productive contradictions and delve into issues regarding identity and the future.
With works of Frauke Alina Becker, Amina Brotz, Franziska von den Driesch, Willehad Eilers, Harald Falkenhagen, David Hepp, Christian Holtmann, Paul Ole Janns, Emese Kazár, Lisa Sinan Mrozinski, Patrick Peljhan, Cordula Prieser, Pio Rahner, Norman Sandler, Sibylle Springer and Jens Weyers.
