Programmed Art: Early Computer Graphics

The Kunsthalle Bremen owns one of the world’s largest collections of early computer art. A selection of graphics was presented in this exhibition which was curated in cooperation with one of the pioneers of computer art, Frieder Nake.

The arrival of the computer in the arts gained international recognition for the first time in 1968. Computer-generated music, choreographies, texts, computer films and computer graphics were the result of new aesthetic creations.
